Simply said, there is no where else like Whistler BC. We know every resort town probably says the same thing but in the case of Whistler, it is actually true: Ski Magazine rates the resort as the #1 in the WORLD in 2009, Freeskier Magazine rates Whistler Blackcomb #1 October 2009, Skiing Magazine readers rate Whistler Blackcomb #1 for the 13th year in a row, Transworld Snowboarding magazine readers rate Whistler Blackcomb #1 for the third year in a row. Should we continue? How about Conde Naste rates Whistler the Best Place to Ski and Stay in North America. There are literally hundreds more where that came from and from all of the positive accolades you can be sure of one thing, when we say Whistler is the best place to ski or snowboard, we are not lying.

What makes Whistler the best is really it's selection. With not one but 2 resorts to choose from, there are runs for just about any skill level from complete beginners to the most extreme skiers. Are you just starting out? Believe it or not, there are green runs starting from almost the very top of both mountains. On Blackcomb, you can start all the way from the top of Hortman Hut and ski all the way into the Village. Same goes for Whistler where there are actually 2 descents from the top considered to be beginner runs. With over 200 runs, there is a lot of selection. Of course, lots of people come to Whistler Blackcomb for the steep and deep and there sure is a lot of that. Take the Peak chair right to the top of Whistler Mountain and you are presented with one heck of a drop in down the Whistler Bowl. It goes all the way down, steep and deep, until you hit the tree line. On Blackcomb, head over to the Blackcomb Glacier for an excellent selection of double black diamond runs that are technical enough to challenge any skier or snowboarder. My personal favourite is the Symphony Amphitheatre off of the Symphony Express. Endless glades, an amazing bowl and if you are willing to do some traversing, some of the best steep and deep on either mountain.

Ok, so Whistler Blackcomb has amazing skiing, we know this but what else does Whistler BC have going for it you might ask? In winter you cannot ignore the number of really cool things to find on the mountain from the Nintendo Terrain Park to the Children's Adventure Park to the Peak to Peak chair spanning the top of both mountains (what a view and for the adrenaline junky, try the clear floor cars), to the Treefort and the Habitat Terrain Park for the intermediate and beginner who want to try out the rails, jibs and jumps. There is something for everyone.

What about summer you ask? Well as a matter of fact, summer is so amazing up at Whistler that there have actually been more people visiting for the mountain biking and summer play than the winter. Summer at Whistler needs to be experienced. It is one big playground for the kids and adults alike.

So now you have played, you have skied, you have snowboarded, mountain biked, gone river rafting, snowmobiling and generally played to your heart's content, what now? The Village. The Nightlife. Whistler Village is second to none for that Apres Ski adventure you have been looking for. There is something for everyone from dance clubs and live music venues to fine dining and shopping.

Shouldn't you be making your next adventure trip somewhere unique? Find what you are looking for on your next visit to Whistler.
